Welcome! We are pleased to have you join us on Sundays at 9:30 am. All Welcome!
Church Parking on Sundays: Did you know that Sunday parking is available in the Kidwell & Cunningham parking lot south of the church on Sugar Street and also in the Living Center parking lot west of the church on Main Street? We appreciate the gracious offer given to us by these businesses. We also ask folks to reserve parking directly in front of the church on Sundays for handicapped individuals.
New Member Class: Sign up on the bulletin board in the Social Hall to learn about our church and church membership.
Do you want a Pastoral Visit or a Shepherd to Visit You? Our pastor and your shepherd (a volunteer assigned to watch over you) are available for visits. All you need to do is let them know you want a visit—so please give them a call or an email note or call the office to schedule a time at your convenience!
The Mount Vernon Zen Community now meets on Tuesdays in the Chapel. Meditation begins at 7:30 pm. Please arrive by 7:20 pm. First-timers should come at 7:00 pm for orientation. Sessions end at 8:30 pm.
Adult Forum – Join us at 11:00 am on Sundays!!
Donations – There are three bins in the Social Hall near the Office where you may put your donations. Interchurch needs clothing (placed in bags marked “Interchurch”) and food such as egg noodles, cream soups, and pork and beans. Hope Now Furniture Bank needs blankets, quilts, sheets (all sizes), plates, flatware, toasters, microwaves, etc. Place items in the bin or in front of it. Hope Now also needs volunteers.
Invite Family and Friends … Welcome Every Visitor… Churches grow in number because those who attend invite people they know, and those in attendance make every visitor feel welcome. First Congregational is a wonderful, dynamic, love-centered church with a wide embrace of welcome for all! Please bring your friends and make sure to greet those you do not know. Share the Love!
